The Black Hills Pediatrics, LLP Story
Welcome to Black Hills Pediatrics, LLP. Our practice was founded in November of 1983 by three general pediatricians: Dr. Sam Mortimer, Dr. Donald Oliver, and Dr. Willis Sutliff.
Since then, the clinic has expanded, and currently has six full-time pediatricians and four full-time allied health professionals on staff.
In 1987, Black Hills Pediatrics became the first medical clinic in Rapid City, SD to provide urgent care clinics during the evenings and weekends.
For the convenience of our patients, our clinic is staffed with a full-service lab and an x-ray department. Our clinic also hosts multiple outreach clinics that include physicians from Sanford Children's Specialty Clinics in Sioux Falls, SD and Omaha Children's Hospital in Omaha, NE. We are also able to perform echocardiograms for our patients if needed.
