Welcome to Black Hills Pediatrics. Black Hills Pediatrics, LLP. was founded in November 1983 by three general pediatricians, Dr. Sam Mortimer, Dr. Donald Oliver, and Dr. Willis Sutliff. Since then, the clinic has expanded and currently has seven full-time pediatricians along with a pediatrician who takes call every Thursday for our group at Monument Health. We also have four full-time and one part-time allied health professionals on staff.

We proudly remain committed to being one of the few clinics that provide both inpatient and outpatient care. In 1987, Black Hills Pediatrics was the first medical clinic in Rapid City to provide urgent care clinics during the evenings and weekends.

For the convenience of our patients our clinic is staffed with a full service lab and x-ray department. Also our clinic hosts multiple outreach clinics that include physicians from Sanford Children's Specialty Clinics and Omaha Children's Hospital . We are also able to perform echocardiograms for our patients if needed.

We are actively involved in the teaching of pediatric medicine to medical students, family practice residents, and allied health professionals.

Our physicians and staff are committed to providing our patients quality pediatric healthcare.
